AGR Makes its First Pass of Weekend at Indy
09.02.05 :: The team is in Indy at the 51st Mac Tools
US Nationals. The biggest race of the year. Arthur qualified in the
first session with a 5.52 @ 265 mph. The next few qualifying
sessions are going to be experiments, again. Maybe he will hit on
something good...There are 22 Alcohol cars, to qual for 16
positions, at the event, most are the best in the country.

AGR Wins With A Single in the Final
08.27.05
:: We have a WINNER.. Arthur had a single in
the final round after Rich Bourke's car died after the burnout and
he ran his quickest run of the weekend, a 5.42 @ 259 mph..Wow, some good news after Arthur winning
first round today. It means Arthur will be the Jeg's All-Star rep
for Div 1. The All-Star race is a race within a race. The best of
the best from each division compete in Chicago, next month. The team has headed off to Cecil County Dragway
in Maryland for the 5th of 7 Div 1 races. This will be another
experimental weekend. Arthur is again trying something new to see if
it helps with the performance of the car

Runner Up at Brainerd
08.14.05
:: We Have a RUNNER-UP..Arthur went up
against the Tom Conway tuned A-fueler driven by Steve Torrance in
the final round. Steve posted a 5.23 @ 265 mph, to Arthur's
5.47 @ 267 mph. All in all the car ran good all weekend, and the
team is happy with the results.
|
Headed fo Brainerd, MN
08.12.05
:: The team has headed off to Brainerd Minnesota
for this weekends Lucas Oil National event. After winning last
weekend, the team is hopeful that the car will continue to perform
as it did at Maple Grove. Lots of really good car will be at this
weekends event, but the weather is looking good for the A-fuel cars
to dominate.

A Win at Maple Grove Picks Up AGR Spirits
08.06.05
:: We have a WINNER. Arthur and the team won the
Div1 race at Maple Grove PA, with low et of the weekend a 5.382 @
264 mph, against Dave DeAngelis who ran a 5.702 @ 223 mph.
CONGRATULATION to the whole team on a great win....

Lebanon Valley Qualify 1 and Runner Up
07.03.05
:: The great news is Arthur qualified # 1, with a
5.429 @ 258.24 mph in Lebanon Valley, NY, Div 1 race this weekend.
Looks like the car is back...Arthur made it to the final round, but
was the runner up...
|
Lebanon Valley Experimental
06.30.05
:: The team has headed off to Lebanon Valley this
weekend for a Division 1 race. This is going to be another
experimental weekend. Arthur has some new stuff he's going to be
trying. They will be testing on Thursday, the day before qualifying
starts. Hopefully the new stuff works and the weather cooperates for
them. Div 1 has a high car count at the events, but only has two
qualifying passes, where other divisions with lower car counts have
three changes at qualifying....go figure
|
Mixed Results in E-Town
06.16.05
:: The team has headed off to Englishtown NJ for a
National event. This weekend could turn into another test session,
as Arthur is making more changes to the car. He wasn't satisfied
with the performance of the car last weekend in Chicago, so more
changes are in order to overcome the mandated 98% nitro rule put
into effect this year by NHRA.Well it didn't turn out to be the
weekend the team wanted. It's hard trying new things on the car and
qualifying at the same time. Move on to the next race.
|
Running Better in Hot Weather on 98% Nitro
06.11.05
:: Good news/bad news....The good news is the car
ran much better then it has been, in the last few races, even in the hot humid weather in
Chicago. The bad news Arthur lost first round with a 5.63 @ 250.13
mph. This weekend was to re-group and get the car back on track,
which seems to have happened. Then team will move on to Englishtown for the next race. Glad
the car is running better.....
|
AGR Resumes Quest for Performance on 98% Nitro
06.06.05
:: After re-evaluating the situation the team has
decided to continue on with the racing season. They will be going to
Chicago and onto Englishtown. It's been a tough season so far, the
first few races chasing down an aerodynamic problem with the new
body, the 98% Nitro rule, and then in Maple Grove having a "no
power" problem. The guys have gone through the car and changed
everything. Arthur former high school cheerleader, oh no that's
someone else, thinks he has fixed the problems and hopefully the car
will run good in Chicago and Englishtown

The Car is Parked in Hot Weather
05.29.05
:: THE CAR IS PARKED....After a
terrible weekend at Maple Grove PA, Arthur has decided to park the
car. Several factors entered into this decision, most of all being
the 98% fuel rule that NHRA mandated this year, the weather will
only be getting hotter and the car just can't run under those
conditions...
|
Tough Season on 98% Nitro
05.15.05
:: It's been a tough season so
far...with lots of rain and now hot humid weather. The team went to
Atlanta this weekend, but the hot weather sure does effect the A
fuel cars trying to run on 98% Nitro. Arthur was the lowest
qualifying Afuel car with only a 5.70 in ninth place. NHRA really
needs to re-evaluate their decision to drop the Nitro percentage...
|
Team Opens in Gainesville
02.26.05
:: The team headed off to the
first race of the season to Gainesville Florida for a Division two
event. Very exciting results from the first pass of the year.
Arthur's A-fuel car is the first to run in the 20's under the new
98% Nitro rule. He ran a 5.28 @ 265.72 MPH.
The weekend ended as a wash out, with all the rain in Florida. The
race will resume March 26, 2005
|
2005 Will be a Challenging Year
01.02.05
:: With the newly mandated NHRA
98% nitro percentage rule, 2005 will be a challenging year. A-fuel teams
will be, essentially, starting over to figure out new tune ups for the
various track and weather conditions. Click here for more info.

11.15.04
::
Two national event wins and three runner-up finishes
were enough to secure the Division 1 championship, but
with an abbreviated racing schedule, we still ended up
finishing 6th in the national points standings.
Impressive!

along with my wife, Marion's, content the site came
