Arthur Gallant is a driver who brings a wealth of experience and intelligence to the drag racing disciplines. His theories about “A/Fuel” racing, as well as his continued competitive presence have made him one of the most widely recognized and highly respected drivers among the elite professionals in the sport of drag racing. Building and running many of his own record setting dragsters over the years, Gallant continues to solidify his reputation as a top contender with his consistent record of excellence. Among the cars he’s built and raced were a national contender Top Alcohol Dragster in the late 70’s as well as a string of Jet Dragsters and Funny Cars. One car that Gallant drove was the first to run over 275 mph and one of his Jet Funny Cars was the first to break the 5-second barrier. His Top Alcohol Dragsters have graced the winner’s circles of such prestigious drag races as the 1999 NHRA Pennzoil Nationals and more recently the 2002 Lucas Oil nationals Reading PA, Mac Tools Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL, Lucas Oil Nationals in Brainerd, MN. and a string of Lucas Oil series points races, to clinch both the NHRA World Championship and Division 1 Championship. These wins were reported in the national press as some of the most impressive by any “A/Fuel” dragster in recent years. With an unwavering dedication to the sport and a determination to seek out new challenges, Arthur Gallant has embarked on a mission to make his injected nitro-burner a winner in the eastern portion of the nation. With the dedicated performance of his brother and crew chief Gene Gallant, clutch-man Bobby Smullen, and team partners Paul Wenclawiak and Steve Weiler, there is no doubt that Gallant will go far in achieving this goal.
